All my yesterdays came back today
I thought of people a lot more than I can say

My Mum, my Dad
My Grandparents, my Brothers, my Sister
My Aunts, Uncles and Cousins
They came in waves this thoughtful day

I have this warm feeling running through my mind
Like a healing hot toddy on a grey cold day

The great memories of fun times we had
Even the times being told off by Mum and Dad

The fun with my pals, playing football in the street
Even the friend who turned out was a proddie

All the times these thoughts keep me happy and fine
But sometimes they bring a tear with the smile

Those eyes are now heavy, and sleep is close
I often wonder why they call it falling

So before I fall, and my eyes firmly close
I’m warmed by my loving thoughts
As I know soon, they will again come calling.
